Quality Assurance Activities

One of the main benefits from the new model is the new activity offering. It's available now and includes sampling, advisory and support activities, as well as qualification, CPD and standardisation events. This is the current outline:

Activity  Description 
Quality Management activities   
  • External quality assurance sampling/moderation
  • Half day visit or remote
 Consultant qualification sampling/moderation.
  • Standardisation of assessment practice
Consultant standardisation activity to ensure consistent application of assessment criteria (module, unit, qualification) by assessors/moderators/verifiers.
Advisory/support activities  
  • Qualification or generic advisory activity
  • Full or half day

    An activity;

    • advise a qualification not previously offered
    • provide specialist/technical support or advice with a specific or advice with specific qualification(s)
    • standardise good qualification or generic assessment practice, to ensure assessment and internal quality assurance meets standards expected
      Activities may include Assessor/Internal Quality Assurer workshops and tailored quality assurance training.

     

    • Systems advisory activity
    • Half day visit
    Advice and guidance on the centre's quality assurance systems, delivered to the centre contact (single point of accountability for internal quality assurance in the centre).
