The value of investing in apprenticeships

Taking on an apprentice is an investment that reaps huge rewards. As an employer, you have an opportunity to nurture the next generation of talent and drive your industry forward.

To date City & Guilds have partnered with hundreds of employers and training providers to deliver over 65,000 apprenticeship certifications via end-point assessment. Our track record means we can help your organisation make the most of your apprenticeship levy and ensure a lasting impact on your workforce.

Value of apprenticeships

– Craig Jolly, Head of Engineering, Balfour Beatty

securing apprentice success coverDespite their strong potential, apprenticeships are suffering from high non-completion rates. Government figures shared in a report by think tank EDSK show that almost half (47 percent) of apprentices drop out. It’s a critical issue, and one the government has set out targets to address. As well as introducing a goal to increase apprenticeship achievement rates to 67 percent by 2025.

In our recent guide we explore this issue further with practical tips and guidance on how best to support apprentices throughout their journey.
