We offer vocational and leadership qualifications as well as training services to centres and education providers throughout the continent.
We provide services to centres and employers to improve the quality of training, assessment and in-house training programmes.
We provide consultancy to African governments to help increase standards in vocational education. We align our qualifications to national qualification frameworks and provide alternative routes for learners to gain qualifications.
We also sponsor some of our underprivileged learners in East Africa, enabling them to complete full level studies for our qualifications.

One example of this impact is our work with governments to offer Mathematics & English skills for secondary school leavers. This has created employment and educational prospects for young people across the region.
Currently, rapid growth across Greater China and Japan offers a strong demand for training and skills provision throughout the region to facilitate economic development.
As a leading player in the vocational education field, City & Guilds is working with local authorities to help them develop national qualification frameworks for vocational training.
We work with several levels of government, education providers and employers in India. We offer our qualifications through centres and deliver up to 3.6 million qualifications annually through our delivery arm, IndiaSkills.
We have designed over 60 India-specific qualifications to help upskill the country’s vast young workforce. We offer these qualifications through centres and employers’ in-house training programmes.
In addition, we provide consultancy services to the Indian federal government to support change in the vocational education sphere and to businesses to help improve the delivery of our qualifications.
In the Middle East, we help meet local demand and fulfil our mission to develop individuals, institutions and countries through education. We do this by offering internationally recognised qualifications that address specific training needs in the region.
Once completed, our courses can lead to skilled employment in the local labour market. Hiring rates among City & Guilds alumni are high as we offer support services such as a job bank to help ensure learners find employment.
