If you are looking to work within the land-based sector, then these essential short qualifications are aimed at you. 

The Level 2 Certificate of Technical Competence in Health & Safety for Land Based Industries aims to provide you with an understanding of the principles of health and safety and how these can be applied in practice within land-based or
related industries. They will also learn to respond appropriately to workplace emergencies.

The Level 3 Certificate of Technical Competence in Risk Assessment for Land Based Industries is primarily aimed at learners working within land-based industries with responsibility for carrying out the production and reviewing of risk and COSHH assessments.
The qualifications are ideal for the following learners:
  • Learners aged 16 to 18, taken alongside a new Technical qualification to enhance some of the key practical skills that employers value
  • Adults in work to confirm competence, or career changers looking for an industry credible qualification

The Level 2 & 3 Certificates of Technical Competence could enhance a whole range of employment opportunities within the Land-based industries.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?
Alongside the Technicals for 16-18 year olds:
  • These may be delivered alongside Technicals for those learners who wish to gain extra certification against the practical skills and competencies that employers want to see
  • Much of the content is embedded within relevant units within the Technicals

Stand-alone/ full cost recovery or adult learners or other markets:

  • The Guided Learning Hours are approximately 10 to 12 hours, so this could be delivered over 2 days with an assessment at the end, or on a separate day.
