Annual Centre Declaration pilot introduced to support quality assurance and compliance
As part of our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement, City & Guilds is launching a pilot of a new Annual Centre Declaration process from 1 September 2026.
01 September 2026
The Annual Centre Declaration has been designed by the Centre Quality Team to provide annual confirmation that centres continue to meet quality assurance, compliance and regulatory requirements. It will also help ensure that centre information held by City & Guilds remains accurate and up to date.
About the pilot
The pilot will involve 100 centres selected at random from across our centre network.
The scope has been intentionally limited to enable us to:
- Test the new declaration process
- Gather feedback from participating centres
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Evaluate the effectiveness of the process before considering any wider implementation
Centres selected to participate in the pilot will be contacted directly and provided with further information and instructions on how to complete the declaration.
What does this mean for your centre?
If your centre has not been contacted directly regarding the pilot, no action is required at this time.
This information is being shared for awareness only. We will continue to keep centres informed of any developments arising from the pilot and any future plans regarding the Annual Centre Declaration process.
We appreciate the ongoing support of our centres and their commitment to maintaining high standards of quality assurance, compliance and regulatory practice.
