General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?
These qualifications cover many different areas within RAC and HP systems.  At Level 2 these  include the scientific principles behind RAC and HP systems, the functions and features of RAC and HP systems and the installation, decommissioning and service and maintenance of RAC and HP systems.  At Level 3 this includes the principles and troubleshooting and decommissioning of complex RAC and HP systems.

Refrigeration or air-conditioning engineer.
What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified assessors and suitable facilities. These requirements can be found in the qualification handbook. Centres currently offering the 6127 technical certificate and 6087 NVQ or 6187 hybrid qualification will need to download and fill in the fast track application form which can be found under the centre documents tab.

Level 2

This level is suitable for those just entering the industry.  It covers the theory and practical skills involved in working on basic RAC and HP systems.
