The Higher Diploma in Professional Floristry can help you gain the skills you need to run your own floristry business.
You'll develop your floristry knowledge and develop important business and management skills to help you in your floristry career.
The Higher Diploma in Professional Floristry is for anybody who works in floristry at management level, maybe running their own business.
You'll have completed a level 3 qualification in professional floristry and have retail experience in the industry.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

While completing this qualification, you'll cover things like:

  • botanical concepts and practices for floristry
  • managing floral events
  • managing marketing and promotion in the floristry industry
  • business management for florists
  • design concepts in floristry.

To get a Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) you learn with your training provider - maybe through practical sessions, group discussions or assignments.

VRQs are usually assessed by your training provider using assignments, practical task, exams or online tests.

For the Higher Diploma in (professional) Floristry you'll complete assignments and take practical and written examinations.

Level 4 or Level 5 are ideal if you work as a manager or in another senior role in the floristry industry. You might want to continue your professional development or get the skills to set up your own floristry business.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

In order to offer the Higher Diploma in (Professional) Floristry, you will need suitably qualified staff to carry out training and assessment, and suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards. You will also need qualified internal assessors.

Learners must have completed at least the Level 3 qualification in professional floristry and have industrial experience and a sufficient level of literacy and numeracy to enable them to research the underpinning knowledge, carry out the practical tasks and complete the assignments.

Level 4

The Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry will suit you if you work as a manager or in another senior role in the floristry industry. You might want to continue your professional development or get the skills to set up your own floristry business.
