It’s official: City & Guilds is once again leading the apprenticeship market

This milestone reflects the confidence employers, providers, and learners place in our work, as well as the dedication of our colleagues and partners who support apprentices across every sector.

11 December 2025

We’re proud to share that City & Guilds has again been recognised as the UK’s top awarding organisation for apprenticeship end-point assessments (EPAs). Ofqual’s latest report shows we completed 48,730 EPAs from March 2024 to February 2025, more than any other UK awarding body.

Quality you can trust, support you can rely on

As we celebrate this milestone, we continue to prioritise the highest assessment standards, ongoing process optimisation and unwavering support for our customers. The latest Ofqual results show how much City & Guilds contributes to apprenticeships and the trust the sector has in our ability to deliver quality assessments at scale.

In a landscape where providers and employers look for stability, clarity, and quality, our mission is to be the partner they can depend on. We bring deep expertise across apprenticeship standards and large cohorts, enabling organisations to move forward confidently through change.

‘I am delighted to see City & Guilds recognised again as the leading end-point assessment organisation in the latest Ofqual figures. This reflects the trust employers, providers, and learners nationwide place in us. We’ve worked hard to set quality standards and build confidence across the apprenticeship system, and we remain committed to sustaining that through apprenticeship reforms, so apprentices can continue to be proud of their achievements and ambitions. At City & Guilds, we believe skills are the foundation of opportunity, and we’re proud to give providers the confidence to navigate change with us, as a trusted partner by their side.’

– Kirstie Donnelly, CEO, City & Guilds
