Water Regulations & Unvented Hot Water Systems (3345)

On completion of the Water Regulations or Hot Water Systems qualifications the learner will be able to install plumbing systems or water fittings in line with UK Building Regulations. 

These qualifications are intended for those learners who wish to learn about the legal requirements for plumbing systems in the UK covered by Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Water Byelaws and/or the Installation, commissioning and safety aspects of hot water systems for domestic use in accordance with UK Building Regulations.  

We are issuing digital credential to learners who have completed this qualification. Please add your learners’ email address during registration. A digital credential cannot be issued without the learner’s email address

Claim an additional Water Regs / Unvented Certificate
Learners who have already achieved a full Level 3 certificate in either 6189 or 9189 can now also claim a separate certificate within the 3345. To gain certification centres need to register learners on 3345-21/31 and claim the certification modules.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

You will learn about the legal requirements for plumbing systems in the UK covered by Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Water Byelaws and/or the Installation, commissioning and safety aspects of hot water systems for domestic use in accordance with UK Building Regulations.  Assessment will be by a mixture of multiple choice questions and a small practical test if you are undertaking the Unvented/Part G pathway.

A plumber or heating and ventilating engineer.
What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

You will need to have tutors who are trained in the legal requirements for plumbing systems to teach these qualifications.  The majority of this qualification is theory based and is assessed by online multiple choice questions. However there is a mall practical test which is undertaken for the Unvented/Part G qualification.

Level 3

This level is suitable if you are working in industry and are making complex decisions on a daily basis in line with your work requirements.
