If you have a head for heights and are able to understand building plans, this qualification will help you gain the skills you need to work in the construction industry. As a roofer, your work could range from re-slating the roof on a house, to restoring the lead sheets on an old building.

This qualification is aimed at anyone over the age of 16 that is looking to secure a career as a roofer in the construction industry. 

We have produced sample tests to enable tutors and learners to experience the look and feel of e-volve prior to sitting the test, and also experience the type and style of question that will be asked in the test.

Level 2

Roof Slating and Tiling at Level 2 is ideal if you have some knowledge and basic skills in roofing - probably from a role where you work under supervision, or if you have studied Level 1 qualifications on construction. You want recognition for your skills, giving you the chance to take on more responsibility.

It covers the following knowledge and skills:

  • Health, Safety and Welfare in Construction
  • Principles of Building Construction, Information and Communication
  • Install Interlocking tiles to Variable Gauge
  • Install Plain Tiles
  • Install Regular Sized Natural Slates
