Retrofit (7618)

The further you progress through our Retrofit qualifications the deeper you will delve into the Retrofit sector and into PAS2035/2028. You will develop and deepen your knowledge and understanding of the Retrofit sector and the Retrofit roles including, Retrofit Advisor, Retrofit Assessor and Retrofit Coordinator. 

These qualifications can be delivered in a number of ways and contextualised to suit learners and the centres delivery. For each qualification you will cover a range of key topics, ensuring the criteria of the qualification is delivered. The criteria is then assessed using a range of assessment methods including holistic assessment. 

These qualifications provide a natural progression route onto the next, allowing for sequential learning to your target job role. 

The Level 2 Award provides a basic level of awareness and understanding, which is built upon by completing the Level 2 Certificate. With these qualifications you can gain work experience in the Retrofit sector. 

To progress your Retrofit career, you can then embark onto Level 3 qualifications. City & Guilds offers the Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor qualification, which can be found here, and Level 3 Retrofit Advisor. These qualifications will open doors into the careers of a Domestic Energy Assessor or Retrofit Advisor. 

To advance your career even further, you can undertake higher level Retrofit qualifications including Level 4 Retrofit Assessor and Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator, where you will be qualified to carry out the Retrofit roles. Our Level 4 Retrofit Assessor qualification is due for release in summer 2024, with the Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator to follow. You'll need to provide your learners with a suitable learning environment and the resources they need to complete the practical and theoretical aspects of the qualification and staffing who are occupationally competent to deliver.
