This is the City and Guilds Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Digital Systems and Data.

Subject to accreditation and regulatory approval.

This qualification has been developed as part of the Post-16 Qualifications Reforms in England and is available for first teaching from September 2027.

The City and Guilds Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Digital Systems and Data has been developed for learners who want to work in the digital and technology sector. Learners will be introduced to a range of topics and concepts such as data analysis, data security and programming.

It has been designed to offer learners a broad introduction for those interested in understanding digital systems and data so that they can progress onto level 3 digital qualifications such as:

V-level in Digital systems and data
T-levels in Digital Software Development, Digital Support and Security, and Digital Data Analytics
A level in Computer Science

This qualification applies the knowledge, understanding and skills provided in the nationally set content for for Digital Systems and Data and is aimed at learners aged 16–18. It was developed with the involvement of employers and subject matter experts from small, medium and large organisations to ensure it meets learner needs.
