Where business apprenticeships build real-world skills

Business apprenticeships build the skills needed for successful organisations. From business administrators and team leaders to project managers and operations professionals, our apprenticeship standards equip learners with practical experience to succeed in today’s evolving business world. Through hands-on learning from experienced professionals in real work settings, apprentices develop practical, career-ready skills while earning a competitive salary.

Whether you already deliver business apprenticeships or are looking to expand your offer, stay up to date with the latest developments, available standards and practical guidance across our business apprenticeship offer. Explore what’s available now, what’s coming next, and how we can support you through change with confidence.

As skills reforms continue to reshape apprenticeships in England, we’re here to support you with clarity, consistency and confidence. Alongside this, we continue to deliver high-quality end-point assessments (EPAs), ensuring a reliable experience that supports successful outcomes for every apprentice and their employer.

Level 2 Administration Assistant Apprenticeship (9562)

City & Guilds is proud to be one of the first awarding organisations recognised to deliver the new Level 2 Administration Assistant apprenticeship standard. Designed for learners beginning their careers in business administration, this apprenticeship develops the practical knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to support the day-to-day running of organisations across a wide range of sectors.

Built around real workplace practice, apprentices learn how to manage information, organise tasks, support colleagues and follow established business processes. Working alongside experienced professionals, they gain valuable on-the-job experience and the confidence to contribute effectively as part of a business team from the outset.

Provider approvals open in August, ahead of learner registrations launching on 18 September. To find out more about the new apprenticeship standard, join our webinar on 14 August, where we'll explore the qualification, what it covers and how to get started.
