The Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals has been created to meet the current needs of employers in the Beauty Industry.

It can be taken either as a standalone qualification, or as part of the mandatory on-programme learning for the Beauty Therapist apprenticeship standard ST0630 version 1.0 (City & Guilds 9129)

The Level 2 Diploma for Beauty Professionals is a qualification designed for learners who are at least 16 years old and who wish to develop the skills and knowledge needed to begin to work as a Beauty Therapist.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

Learners will cover skills such as:

Providing waxing treatments
Providing hand and nail treatments
Providing foot treatments
Providing facial treatments
Providing a range of eyelash and eyebrow treatments
Providing make-up application
Providing massage treatments

What Careers Can This Lead To?

A Beauty Therapist will typically work in a beauty salon or spa. They provide one to one treatments on clients in a private environment providing facials, hair removal and waxing services, and body, hand and foot treatments.

Learners can progress onto a Level 3 qualification or Apprenticeship to further enhance their skills.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications, centres/colleges will need to provide their learners with a suitable learning environment and the resources they need to complete the practical and theoretical aspects of the qualification.
