The Award in Providing Financial Services at Levels 2 and 3 are designed to offer learners the flexibility to show their achievement in a specific area without taking the full Certificates in Providing Financial Services and may be suitable for Continuing Professional Development or supplemental learning.

The Level 2 Certificate in Providing Financial Services allows for a specific technical focus on an area you are working in or wish to work in.

The Level 3 Certificate in Providing Financial Services provides more in depth knowledge and skills in your current role or one that you may wish to work in and offer the opportunity to gain competency in other areas of the financial services sector.

The Certificates provide the competency component of the Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services – Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3) in England, and Foundation (Level 2) and Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Wales.

The Level 4 Diploma in Banking provides the competency component of the Higher Apprenticeship in Banking (Level 4) and covers the NOS for Branch, Business and Customer/Commercial Relationship Managers.

The Level 4 Diploma in Insurance provides the competency component of the Higher Apprenticeship in Insurance (Level 4) and covers the NOS for Insurance Claims/Underwriting and Broking Technicians and Supervisors.
The qualifications are designed for those who work or want to work within banks and building societies, business administration, customer service and insurance organisations where their role will involve providing financial services.

These qualifications have been designed for those looking to gain a specific technical focus in one of the key areas within financial services, or to broaden their skills and knowledge, in order to achieve an industry-recognised certification.

You can use the Certificates as the competency component of the Apprenticeship in Providing Financial Services – Intermediate (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3) in England, and Foundation (Level 2) and Apprenticeship (Level 3) in Wales.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you will need qualified tutors and assessors, either trained internal members of staff or recruited specially.

You will also need suitable facilities to carry out the required training to enable learners to achieve industry standards.

Level 2

Level 2 is ideal for learners in employment who need to gain a recognised qualification in the Financial Services area or for those seeking to undertake a career in one of the key areas of providing financial services.

There are two qualifications available at this level:

Level 2 Award in Providing Financial Services
Learners must choose one from a range of optional units covering banks and building societies and may choose a second unit from this area or a unit from those covering customer payments for financial products.

Level 2 Certificate in Providing Financial Services
This comprises three mandatory units and a range of optional units, including:
