Delivering as part of apprenticeship standards

By aligning with the technical and compliance requirements of end-point assessment (EPA), these qualifications help ensure learners are fully prepared for success in their apprenticeships and future careers.

Autocare Technician EPA v1.2

To meet the gateway requirements for the Autocare Technician EPA, apprentices need to complete two key qualifications: one for handling F-Gas in vehicle air-conditioning systems, and another for safely working with electric and hybrid vehicles. City & Guilds offers both:

  • Level 3 Mobile Air Conditioning qualification (7543-03)
  • Level 2 Award in Safe Maintenance of Electric and Hybrid Vehicles (7290-02)

These qualifications give apprentices the essential knowledge and hands-on skills they need to tackle real EPA tasks and meet industry standards with confidence.

Vehicle Damage MET Technician EPA v1.3

To meet the gateway requirements for the Vehicle Damage MET Technician EPA, apprentices need to complete a Certification in Refrigerant Handling (EC 842-2006) (or latest revision). City & Guilds offers the following qualification which meets this requirement:

  • Level 3 Mobile Air Conditioning qualification (7543-03)
