City & Guilds is proud to introduce our new Level 2 Foundation Apprenticeship in Onsite Trades, a progression-focused programme designed to equip young people with essential construction skills and support their transition into the industry.

This apprenticeship blends technical knowledge, practical experience, and employability behaviours to help learners build strong foundations for a successful career in the built environment.

The Onsite trade foundation apprenticeship covers Bricklaying, Plastering (Solid & Fibrous) and Site Carpentry.

This foundation apprenticeship is designed to be a stepping stone into the construction industry. Learners who complete the programme will be well-positioned to progress into employment or onto the next level of apprenticeships, such as the:

  • Site Carpentry
By developing core skills and behaviours early, apprentices gain the confidence and capability to specialise further and grow within the sector.

Our resources for our Foundation Apprenticeship will give you the guidance you need to support apprentices through their learning, build their confidence and competence to ensure a quality learning experience in preparation for their assessments.
