What is Assured?

Assured is City & Guilds validation and quality assurance service. Measured against our globally recognised benchmark, it validates how training providers plan, design, maintain and evaluate your programmes.

We review your training systems and processes, rather than the content or delivery itself, allowing you the flexibility to design training that meets your learners’ needs while demonstrating consistency and quality.

Whether your goal is to win new business, strengthen your brand or improve learner outcomes, Assured helps you differentiate your offer, giving your training programmes the recognition they deserve.

What programmes can be Assured?

We can quality assure your training programmes across any sector or industry.

Because Assured focuses on your processes, not your curriculum, you retain full control over your content while benefiting from independent validation of your approach to quality assurance.

From technical training and onboarding programmes to leadership and management development, Assured provides a consistent way to demonstrate quality across your portfolio.

Leadership and management programmes are Assured by ILM, a part of City & Guilds.

You bring:

Subject matter expertise - deep knowledge of your sector

Business rationale – the reason for the training

    Programme content and learners’ needs

We bring:

The Assured Benchmark – our global quality standard that we can apply to any training, no matter how specialised it is

Our expertise in quality assurance – recommended improvements to help you enhance the quality of your training

Digital credentials that recognise learner achievements

Who will you work with?

Assured is a highly collaborative and personal service. For your initial conversations and proposal, you’ll talk to one of our dedicated Skills Specialists. They’ll find out about your goals and needs, and answer any questions you have.

Once you begin the Assured process, we’ll assign one of our L&D Specialists to your organisation, who will work in partnership with you throughout the approval process and beyond.

How is your training evaluated?

Assured benchmark wheel

We assess and validate the way in which you plan, design, maintain and evaluate your training against the Assured Benchmark Standards. There are five core standards for all programmes and a sixth core standard for leadership and management programmes, plus two additional standards for programmes with assessment and/or digital learning.

Your dedicated L&D Specialist will conduct an in-depth review of your programmes and provide expert feedback on areas where your programmes meet our standards and where there are opportunities for improvement.

When it comes to timings, we’re very flexible and entirely led by you, making sure the key dates and requirements are manageable for your team.
