Jason Howe

Jason Howe

Technical advisor for Construction

Jason Howe impressive career journey into construction started like many others, as an apprentice working with a local building company which specialised in traditional construction techniques and a vast range of buildings and properties in a beautiful and rural part of Co. Durham. Having completed his apprenticeship and gained the experience and skills needed, the natural progression path was to set up and run his own Carpentry & Joinery company. During this period, Jason was awarded contracts to work with large construction companies across the UK, Northern Ireland, and Spain.

With the drive and passion to pursue a career in education, Jason established leading roles as an assessor, lecturer and manager for colleges, professional bodies and organisations.

Having had a successful career history, Jason is now the Technical advisor for Construction and Utilities.

Technical advisor Paul Brown

Paul Brown

Technical advisor for Construction

Paul is an Indentured Apprentice Bricklayer and has experience in house building, conversions, repair and refurbishment including historical buildings.

He has worked in Further Education for 30 years as a lecturer in brickwork (assessor and internal verifier) and professional building studies, having achieved a CertEd and QTLS. Like many, Paul worked his way up the career ladder to become a senior manager responsible for Construction and Engineering.
