General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

There are three mandatory and four optional units in this qualification. The three mandatory units are:

  • Lead your organisation
  • Manage continuous improvement
  • Identify and evaluate opportunities for innovation and improvement

Then, choose four optional units. These include units that focus on the development of such skills as evaluating organisation's operating environment, developing organisation's values, vision and strategic plans, managing risks and communication systems. Work with your employer or training provider to map units to your role, needs and skills gaps. The wide choice of optional units gives a high level of flexibility, allowing the qualification to be tailored to meet the varying needs of participants and employers across all employment sectors.

This SVQ in Management at SCQF Level 11 could provide progression to:

  • a post-graduate degree in Management or Business Enterprise or a related area
  • further employment across many sectors in senior management roles
What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

You will deliver this qualification according to National Occupational Standards set by by Qualifications for Industry (QFI)

You will assess the qualification using portfolio of evidence at a centre or in your learner's workplace.

You must ensure all learners can access a realistic workplace environment and all the equipment they need to achieve occupational standards.
