These qualifications cover the essentials of business administration, from event support to project management, enabling the learner to provide administrative support in a range of environments. There are options for those who are new to the job, as well as those with more experience.

The Level 2 and 3 Certificates are technical certificates within the Business and Administration apprenticeship framework.

There are Awards, Certificate and single unit awards for 4475.
Dual assessment is available for all units.

General Information

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?

At Level 2 you will learn how to work with others, and carry out everyday administrative tasks as well as develop a level of individual responsibility.

At Level 3 you will learn how to supervise others and contribute to wider departmental or organisational change.

For this qualification you will learn in a group environment with your training provider. You will be assessed using dual assessment through either an assignment or multiple choice online test.

Which level is right for me?

Level 2
You work or want to work in a business support role. You are interested in learning how to carry out everyday administrative tasks.

Level 3
You are fairly new to administration or have worked in an administrative role for some time. You would like to prepare to move into a leadership role by learning how to effectively supervise others and contribute to wider departmental or organisational change.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?

To deliver these qualifications you need to provide your learners with a suitable learning environment, and the resources they need to complete all aspects of the qualification. You will assess learners using assignments.

You will get automatic approval if you currently offer 4413 Levels 2 and 3 Certificate and Diploma in Business and Administration.

Anyone can take these qualifications, but you must make sure all your learners can access the resources they need to complete it.

Level 2

Level 2 will suit you if you are working in or want to work in a business support role. You're interested in learning how to carry out everyday administrative tasks.

There are two qualifications available at Level 2:

  • Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration
  • Diploma in Business Support.

Depending on the size of qualification you choose, you complete a number of mandatory units, including:

  • Principles of personal responsibilities and working in a business environment
  • Principles of providing administrative services
  • Principles of managing information and producing documents.

You also choose from a range of optional units, including:

  • Principles of supporting change in a business environment
  • Principles of working in the public sector
  • Principles of project management
  • Principles of contributing to innovation and change.

  • Diploma in Business Support.

For either qualification, you complete a number of mandatory units, including:

  • Principles of working with and supervising others in a business environment
  • Principles of managing information and producing documents in a business environment
  • Principles of providing and maintaining administrative services.

You also choose from a range of optional units, including:

  • Principles of working in the public sector
  • Principles of project management
  • Principles of contributing to innovation and change.
