You can choose the pathway that demonstrates the specialist knowledge and skills you have developed. These could include:
- Gas emergencies
- Gas installation and/or maintenance for cookers, tumble dryers, leisure, domestic space heating, wet central heating and domestic warm air
- Safe working practices
- Planning work activities
- Maintaining a safe working environment
- Gas Safety
You will learn on the job in the work environment, or in the classroom with realistic situations and appliances.
You will be assessed in a number of ways – including knowledge questions, Gas Safety RWE practical, a portfolio of evidence and observation.
Is this level right for me?
Level 3 - You are an apprentice, new to the industry, or experienced and looking to up skill and require a licence to practise to join the Gas Safe Register in order to work as a gas engineer in the UK, Isle of Man and Guernsey.
You may also be looking to complete the knowledge element of your apprenticeship in gas utilisation before gaining employment.
If you are in Scotland you might wish to undertake 5991 which is a limited pathway SCQF version of 6014.
