This single unit short course qualification has been developed in conjunction with industry experts, to provide the knowledge for planning, supervising and managing working at height.

It covers health and safety and regulatory requirements, selecting and planning staff and equipment, producing work schedules and site supervision.
This qualification is for those in or working towards a supervisory/management position working in industries which involve working at height.

This qualification may be applicable for a number of industries including construction, utilities, facilities management.

What Is Involved In Studying This Course?
The qualification will cover things like:
  • Workplace health and safety risk assessment
  • Factors that influence selection of work at height equipment
  • Factors that influence the selection of staff and contractors for work at heights
  • Supervision and management of working at heights
  • Evaluating a risk assessment
  • Responsibility of contractors on site
The qualification is delivered by theory training at a City & Guilds centre.
 
The qualification is assessed through an assignment.

What Is Involved With Delivering This Course?
To deliver the qualification you will need suitably qualified and approved staff to carry out the training and assessment and approved assessment facilities that meet the specification in the handbook.

The qualification is assessed by a City & Guilds set and quality assured assignment which is centre marked.
Any learners aged 18 and over are eligible to undertake the assessments.

Level 3

This Level 3 will help you plan, supervise and manage working at height.

You will learn the relevant health & safety and risk assessment, selection of equipment, staff and equipment and supervision and management considerations.
What Careers Can This Lead To?
This qualification will provide knowledge and updating (CPD) for candidates who are moving into supervisory/management roles that involve working at height.
