Maths and English support

All 16-18 learners, and those aged 19-25 with an education health and care (EHC) plan who do not hold a GCSE grade 9-4 or A*-C are required to continue studying maths and English during each year of their study programme.

We offer a number of Maths and English resources and digital learning to help teachers and learners develop and apply maths and English skills, such as:

  • e-functional skills
  • SmartScreen Functional Skills/Functional Skills Plus
  • Maths & English e-toolkit.

We recognise that teaching maths and English can be challenging when these are not your specialist subjects, so we offer a range of short ‘How to…’ CPD training sessions to provide ideas and support on how to integrate maths, English and technology into your learning programmes.
